ü Label Divider Tabs as follows: North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Australia, Antarctica, Asia and projects.

 

 

·       Answer questions and Label Map: in Student Activities for Cultural Geography, pages 19-20

 

·        Geography Coloring Book- Please read How to use and Color this book, turn the page and complete the Glossary of Geographical Terminology   (no page numbers given)

7th Grade Geography Orientation

This year we will study the earth and its resources as God created them. The students will learn how physical geography affects the political and economic features of countries and the way of life of its inhabitants. We will gain a new appreciation for the wonders of God’s creation and the responsibilities of the dominion God has given them.
A.   What students need to succeed?

2. Turn in assignments on time
3. Teachable spirit
B.    Homework:
1. Each Tuesday, there is a new assignment sheet given
2. Everything on the assignment sheet is due the following Tuesday, unless otherwise noted

C.    Tests and Quizzes
1. The students will be given one weeks notice before quizzes, two   weeks notice before exams
2. All quiz/test subject matter will be covered in class

1. Geography Island Project

          a. This will require a costume
b. Students will work on this project 7-10 weeks. Each student will study a country, give a detailed oral presentation of their findings, create a display board to share, make food from the country, and bring music to share with the class and guests.
3. Weekly one minute Oral Presentaions to help prepare for bigger projects
